2) Description

1) Monitors effectiveness of the City's SMWBE Program; 2) Monitors local practices and policies which may have discriminatory impact on minority and women-owned businesses; 3) Facilitates communication between the City and small businesses; 4) Evaluates City policies and regulations for their impact on small businesses; 5) Sponsors and conducts educational forums, hearings and workshops; 6) Recommends to Mayor and Council alternative measures or legislation; 7) Requests from any City department information/assistance; 8) Assumes and undertakes other tasks/duties at the discretion and express direction of Mayor and Council. 8 year term limit
